The Eastern Africa Grain Council (EAGC) is a regional member-based organization for the grain value chain stakeholders, with a mandate of facilitating, developing, promoting and supporting the development of Inclusive Structured Grain trading systems including influencing policies in the region. EAGC Operates in 10 countries including Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Malawi, Zambia, South Sudan and DRC.EAGC work focuses on market-oriented interventions along the grain value chain hinged on four pillars of promoting structured trading system; monitoring and dissemination of information to inform production and trade decisions, capacity building of value chain players to promote adoption of practices and technologies that increase production and quality of marketable produce and policy interventions to create an enabling environment.
