OBRI Africa is a social enterprise working to eradicate poverty, hunger and malnutrition through sustainable agriculture practices and fortified edible oil processing in Tanzania. Achieving zero hunger and food security for everyone is essential to a thriving economy and society. Our food system’s biggest challenges — from climate change to food security — require big thinking and bold action. Our planet’s population is growing and so is the need for more food, every day. Demand for edible oil alone in Tanzania is growing for over 70% annually. Our goal is to meet current and future regional food security, put income back to farmers’ pockets through investment in domestic’s sunflower seeds while protecting our environment. Together with our farmers and partners we are working to end hunger and poverty, decarbonise the food system, help farmers succeed, and create value in our community.
